WALRUS gives you real-time synced lyrics — the kind that highlight word-by-word as your track plays — built directly into the platform at no cost. No Musixmatch license, no third-party sync service, no extra fees. Just your lyrics, synced to your music, on every track.
You can paste lyrics manually or let AI transcribe and timestamp them automatically. Once published, fans see lyrics scroll in real time during playback — and it unlocks the Feel feature, which lets fans tap on lines that resonate and gives you analytics on which lyrics connect most.
Tip
Most platforms require artists to go through Musixmatch or similar services to get synced lyrics — which means delays, approval processes, and often a cost. On WALRUS, you control your own lyrics. Upload, sync, publish. It's instant and it's free.
Go to Manage → Music and click "Edit" on any track.
Open the Lyrics tab and paste your full lyrics text.
Save. Your lyrics are stored as a draft.
Optionally click "Sync Timing" to have AI match your text to timestamps in the audio.
Publish when you're happy with the result.
Go to the Lyrics tab on any track and click "Process Lyrics."
WALRUS runs a two-step AI pipeline: first it isolates your vocals from the instrumentals, then it transcribes the vocals with word-level timestamps.
If the transcription confidence is 85% or higher, lyrics are auto-published. Otherwise they're saved as a draft for you to review and correct.
Edit any lines that need fixing, then publish.

Confidence Scoring — Each line gets a confidence score. Low-confidence lines are flagged for your review.

Note
AI transcription works best with clear vocal tracks. Heavy vocal effects, layered harmonies, or very fast delivery may need manual corrections. You can always edit individual lines after processing.
